I don’t think there is a better way to mark my 16th & Mom’s 50th birthday than seeing Bruno Mars & Carlos Santana perform their hits live in beautiful Las Vegas! Thank you Dad for making this birthday weekend extra special by treating us both to an incredible show by two musical icons.

My First Recruiting Call: A Step Closer to My Volleyball Dreams

As many of you know, I am looking to play volleyball at the college level, I recently had my first official recruiting call with a coach, which was an amazing experience!

I am not going to say who it was for now but it is one of my top 3 school choices. So that made it more exciting.

It was funny how it happened because the coach texted me and asked me last week why I hadn’t responded to his email, and I was caught by surprise because I never saw the email. He said it was ok; he just wanted to speak with me about their school.

So I started preparing for my call and spoke with my high school coach and club director; my recruiting director sent me some prep information.
I was ready.

It was 4 pm yesterday, right after High School practice, and now here I am talking to the coach about what they look for in potential recruits, I learned so much about myself and what college coaches want from their student-athletes.

I realized how much this school values academics. One of the first few things the coach asked me for my GPA, and if I was taking or on track to taking physics and Calculus.

The best part is that he wants to talk with both my parents and me in a couple of weeks, it’s time to get ready and take this journey further!

Private Coaching Can Take Your Volleyball Game to the Next Level

I had a private coaching session with my volleyball coach before this weekend tournament this Saturday. We worked on assessing my strengths and weaknesses, and figuring out ways to improve my game. My coach was really helpful in giving me personalized feedback and tips. Now, I’m feeling more confident and ready to hit the court!

I think if you’re a volleyball player, you should definitely consider booking a private coaching session. It can make a huge difference in your game.

No I am not asleep, Mom caught bad picture of me!
